Government Business

Government funded projects demand additional guarantees and unique process requirements not frequently found in privately managed business operations. Crown has the resources and knowledge needed to satisfy the most exhaustive levels of governmental scrutiny. Years of involvement in City, County, State or Federal projects have allowed Crown to develop the credentials and administrative systems needed to service this business.

As part of the California State Master Service Agreement (MSA), as managed by the California Department of General Services, Crown has been awarded many State, County and City contracts. This MSA for commercial moving services guarantees that all licensing, insurance coverage and pricing has been audited and approved by the State of California. Crown also holds a D34 contracting license with the State of California allowing us to work on modular furniture installation contracts. Additionally, we enjoy a fully compliant status with the State for the movement of Household Goods for all State agencies.

Crown has surety bonds in place as required by many of its larger public contracts. We are certified as a Green Business by the County of Alameda and are very active in the communities where we operate our businesses. Crown has specific programs to award work to qualified minority owned business as subcontractors in the courses of bidding and servicing our work. We comply with all prevailing wage requirements for contracts with these provisions and provide audited payroll records to substantiate these wage levels.

Crown is in the process for qualification with the Federal General Services Administration for both household goods and commercial moving services. Under these Federal programs, Crown qualifies as a small business concern and as a veteran owned business.

With continued service on projects for The California Highway Patrol, The Department of Justice, The Employee Development Department, The California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, The Department of Motor Vehicles, The Internal Revenue Service, The US Forestry Service, The Veterans Administration and other large Public agencies, Crown has earned the respect and trust of some of the most demanding agencies in government.
