Crown, as an International Mover is a member of OSA (Overseas Shippers' Association), which enables Crown to apply its negotiating leverage with more volume than any other household good carrier group in the world. OSA was formed, with Crown as a founding member and by many of the world's largest household good moving companies, to collectively negotiate with ocean carriers for the best rates and transit times in the business. This organization negotiates many other programs for its members to create additional competitive advantages in the international moving market place. As a customer, you will appreciate the simplicity of having a single point of contact. All communications are handled directly through our corporate headquarters. Moreover, all our agents share our 24-hour dedication to our clients. It is this type of dedication and care that has made Crown one of the international moving industry's distinguished international movers.
Secure Facilities and Processes
Crown is certified by the Department of Homeland Security under its Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. This government-business initiative is designed to build cooperative relationships that strengthen overall supply chain and border security. As a result of this credential, Crown enjoys quick attention in customs matters. C-TPAT certification requires frequent unannounced inspections of Crown's security systems. These audits are conducted by the Department of Homeland Security.
Crown is also certified by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This agency also conducts frequent unannounced audits of Crown's facilities and processes. The TSA inspector checks the security of the air cargo operation both through documentation and with a physical inspection of the shipment handling operation. These processes must meet the stringent requirements of airport security.
As part of Crown's security policy, all employees involved in the packing and loading of household goods must undergo a background check and wear a Crown employee badge. This photo ID badge certifies that the employee's background is clear and he or she is authorized to work in the customers home and in our secured warehouse.
