Japanese Customs at Narita Airport: How Not to Waste Your Time and Money
The institution of new regulations at Narita Airport just made air shipping to Japan more complicated and potentially more expensive. Customs authorities are now requiring – without exception – a detailed and valued inventory. Be sure to complete an unaccompanied articles form (form 5360) when you enter the country to avoid delays, transport charges, taxes and duties. The form entitles you to items totaling up to 200,000 yen duty free.
